No live show today, but I got this mix up for all the podcasters out there
It’s that time of year again, sports on the UCSB campus start up and as policy between radio station KCSB and UCSB, sports take over any pre-scheduled show. Should only be next week, thankfully.
I’ll get an internet mix up though, for all the web listeners out there.
I’ve also got a very special treat coming soon, much thanks to Juan Villalobos aka “Z” you’ll definitely know it when it drops in the next few days here!
Finally got a complete recording here!
Had some guests in the studio this night, but sadly we only got about 12 minutes of recording before the computer doin all the recording crashed. We’ve been having some issues with recordings the last few weeks, which is why there’s been nothin.
Well this show that I’m putting up is the first 12 or so min of the live show then I threw a lil mix together exclusively for all the podcasters out there!
The internet connection at my place was bad, so the recording was intermittent and oonly ended up being a few minutes long.
Hopefully most of you caught the show live, it was almost a revisit of last week. I’d like to shout out “Z” for calling in and sharing, over the air, his personal experience in finding the show, and how much Rory impacted him and his new life of faith. Keep in touch bro.
We read Psalm 69 over the air and talked on it a little bit, so here’s all I can really give you for last weeks show, Psalm 69.
I am in pain and distress;
may your salvation, O God, protect me.
I will praise God’s name in song
and glorify him with thanksgiving.
This will please the LORD
The poor will see and be glad—
you who seek God, may your hearts live!
The LORD hears the needy
and does not despise his captive people.
Let heaven and earth praise him,
the seas and all that move in them,
for God will save
This show was dedicated to the life and memory of Rory Graham. We did our best to celebrate his life, and play tracks that he enjoyed, or tracks that we know he would have loved. We also had some friends of Rory call in to share some stories with us.
The funeral for Rory will be held this Saturday 8/15/09 at North Coast Calvary Chapel at 11AM, if you would like to attend.
A fund has also been set up for the family, if you would like to make a contribution, please contact his sister Karen, firstname.lastname@example.org and she will give you details on where to send a check.
We ask for continued prayers for the family and friends of Rory, thanks and God bless!
Former preacher of this show, Rory Graham, better known as “The Lord’s Bomb Servant” died this week. It is hard to be completely sad about this, when I know, as well as everyone else knows that he can only be in that better place that he preached about each week here on the show.
For as long as I can afford to keep this site running, Rory’s words will continue to inspire right here.
From archived show #18 on back,
Rory will be heard, and continue to bring people to Christ.
Much love Rory, my prayers are with your family and everyone who loved you.
Dj Will in the studio, pretty much held down most the show, and I got to kick back and listen.
Always like it when DJ Will’s there because hes got a ton of tracks I’ve never even heard, so hopefully some of it’s new for you as well.
Now we’re up to date. Be sure to tune in tomorrow night live, 8-10pm
